Process Overview
From first discussion to finished order.
Phase 01
Define and Estimate

Project Discussion
The client shares a reference image, physical sample, sketch, tech pack or product idea together with the estimated quantity and target requirements.
- Product reference or idea
- Product category
- Estimated quantity
- Target market or product direction
- Preferred delivery window
An initial project brief and a list of information required for evaluation.
Product and Sample Evaluation
KAOUYOU reviews the product direction, sample requirements, construction, techniques and available information to evaluate feasibility.
- Product feasibility review
- Sample requirement discussion
- Construction and technique review
- Identification of missing information
A recommended development route.
Materials and Preliminary Cost Estimate
Material directions are recommended according to the product category, desired weight, hand feel, appearance and construction requirements. Preliminary pricing is estimated from the available product information. Final pricing is confirmed after the product, materials, techniques, quantity and order requirements are aligned.
Material direction, preliminary cost estimate, sample fee confirmation and expected sampling requirements.
Phase 02
Develop and Approve

Sample Development
After the sample fee is confirmed, patterns and sample requirements are prepared and an initial garment sample is developed. A complete garment sample is normally provided. Special material, color or technique samples are prepared when required. Sampling commonly takes approximately 7-12 days, depending on product complexity and material availability.
An initial garment sample for client review.
Sample Review and Revision
The client reviews fit, measurements, construction, fabric, color, techniques and visual details. Feedback is reviewed and the sample is revised where required. Sample revisions commonly require approximately 7-10 additional days, depending on the requested changes.
Revision requirements, costs and timing are confirmed according to the requested changes.
A revised sample reflecting the requested adjustments.
Final Sample and Production Confirmation
The final garment sample, measurements, fabric and color, printing/embroidery/wash direction, trims and hardware, quantity and price, delivery schedule, and labels and packaging requirements are confirmed. The final confirmed garment sample and agreed product requirements become the reference for production. Key product details and approvals are confirmed and recorded through ongoing communication before production moves forward.
Confirmed production reference and approved product requirements.
Phase 03
Produce and Deliver

Bulk Production
After order details and the required deposit are confirmed, production is scheduled according to the approved product direction. Material preparation, cutting coordination, sewing production, specialist technique coordination, finishing operations and in-process follow-up proceed against the confirmed requirements. Bulk production commonly takes approximately 25-30 days, depending on order scale, number of styles, product complexity, material availability and technique requirements.
Completed production run with in-process follow-up.
Quality Inspection
Material and pre-cutting checks, first-piece and in-process checks, measurement/appearance/technique checks and 100% final garment inspection are carried out before packing. Products requiring correction are separated or reworked and reviewed again before packing.
Inspected garments cleared for packing.
