QUALITY REFERENCES

Quality starts with a clearly approved product.

Inspection requires a confirmed reference. The approved garment sample and agreed product requirements guide production and quality review.

01

Approved Garment Sample

The confirmed garment provides the reference for fit, construction, materials, techniques and overall appearance.

02

Measurements & Requirements

Confirmed measurements and client requirements guide dimensional checks and product review.

03

Materials & Techniques

Fabric, color, trims, printing, embroidery and wash direction are reviewed against the confirmed product direction.

04

Labels & Packing

Brand labels, size identification, hangtags and packing requirements are aligned before packing begins.

QUALITY PROCESS

Quality checks before, during and after production.

STAGE 01

Pre-Production Alignment

  • Approved garment sample
  • Measurements and tolerances
  • Materials and colors
  • Construction requirements
  • Techniques and placement
  • Trims and hardware
  • Labels and packing requirements

The approved garment sample and confirmed project requirements are reviewed with the production and quality teams before bulk production begins.

STAGE 02

Fabric Inspection & Project-Based Checks

  • Color and color variation
  • Weight and hand feel
  • Surface condition
  • Fabric width
  • Shrinkage, when required
  • Colorfastness, when required

Fabric review is carried out according to the product and confirmed project requirements. Specific checks vary by material and project. Certified laboratory testing is not implied unless separately arranged and verified.

STAGE 03

First-Piece & In-Process Checks

  • Internal first-piece review
  • Measurements
  • Construction
  • Sewing workmanship
  • Technique placement
  • Trims and hardware
  • Appearance and finishing follow-up

The first production piece is reviewed internally against the approved garment sample. Dedicated QC personnel then carry out checks during production.

STAGE 04

Final Garment & Packing Inspection

  • Appearance and workmanship
  • Stains, damage and loose threads
  • Decoration and wash appearance
  • Labels and size identification
  • Measurement sampling
  • Packing readiness
  • Carton and packing requirements

Every finished garment receives a final visual and workmanship inspection before packing. Key measurements are checked through QC sampling according to the project inspection plan.

ISSUE MANAGEMENT

What happens when an issue is identified?

01

Identify

FAQ

Quality Control FAQ

Yes. Every finished garment receives final visual and workmanship inspection before packing. Measurements are checked through QC sampling unless another measurement plan is agreed.
Before bulk production begins, a pre-production meeting is held to align on the approved garment sample, measurement requirements, materials, colors, construction, techniques, trims, hardware, labels and packing requirements. Key quality points are reviewed so that everyone works from the same confirmed reference.
Fabric review is carried out for every order. Depending on the product and confirmed project requirements, checks may include color, weight, hand feel, surface condition, color variation, width, shrinkage and colorfastness. Specific checks vary by material and project. These checks are not described as certified laboratory testing unless independently arranged and verified.
Measurement tolerances follow the client's confirmed requirements. Where no tolerance is specified by the client, appropriate industry-standard tolerances are applied according to the product. KAOUYOU does not publish fixed tolerance values because tolerances depend on product category, fabric and construction.
The issue is identified, classified as critical, major or minor, and the affected garments are separated from accepted products. Products that can be corrected are reworked and then re-inspected. Products that cannot be corrected are removed from accepted goods. Only products meeting the confirmed requirements proceed to packing.
KAOUYOU maintains internal inspection records for production control. When requested by the client, relevant inspection photos, measurement records and inspection results can be provided. Internal records are not automatically shared with every order unless the client asks for them.
Yes. Clients may appoint an independent inspection company. KAOUYOU can coordinate factory access and inspection timing, while third-party inspection costs are covered by the client. The third-party report is provided by the relevant inspection company.
Needle or metal detection can be arranged through a third-party service when required by the client or product. This is not a default service on every order. If your product or market requires needle or metal detection, please include this requirement in your project discussion.
